Since the Covid-19 "lockdown" began in March I worked from home, essentially running one long help and advice surgery, supporting local constituents and businesses. Each day saw numerous telephone appointments and video calls as well as replying to a high volume of email.
Now Parliament has returned physically, I want to ensure constituents are able to speak to me directly, but need to revert to set dates and hours for help and advice surgeries. These need to remain either over the telephone or video call in order to meet the governments continuing advice on social distancing. Video call platforms available are Apple FaceTime or Zoom.
If you would like to book a 15 minute appointment please email greg.smith.mp@parliament.uk or call 020 7219 4287, with a brief description of what you would like to raise. Please also indicate whether you would prefer telephone or video call (and if video, which platform you use).
The next virtual surgery dates and times are:
Friday 19th June 2020, 2pm to 4pm
Friday 3rd July 2020, 2pm to 4pm
Monday 13th July 2020, 10am to 12pm
Friday 31st July 2020, 2pm to 4pm
Friday 14th August 2020, 2pm to 4pm
Friday 28th August 2020, 2pm to 4pm
Extra dates will be added if needed.
These help and advice surgery arrangements will be reviewed at the end of August, hopefully returning to physical meetings from September.
I also continue to welcome constituents contacting me by email (greg.smith.mp@parliament.uk) or post (House of Commons, London SW1A 0AA) to raise issues, ideas or seek my help and support.
